Re: Just Friends, Right?...
from Cassian_Vanserra on 06/01/2020 06:48 PMCassian let his hand glide onto the Eris' lower back as they entered the restaurant. He steered her into the back, where he had made sure a table was prepared for them. The thought of her being with other guys while he was gone stung him more than he would like to admit. Even though it was very strange and hypocritical, since he had been with multiple women during his stay in Cardoba. He tried to push the thought away and grinned. "Ah, such a shame," he whispered in her ear. "I thought I could claim you all as my own tonight. Be the first one to conquer you in a long while." He shrugged casually, as if he hadn't just said something very passionate and personal. "Builds up the anticipation, you know," he winked and pointed her towards one of the chairs.
A woman came walking up to them, smiling broadly at Cassian. "Hello good sir," she mumbled when se came to a halt at their table. "What can I do you for tonight? A drink? Some nice food? Or maybe some company tonight?" She winked at him and batted her long, thick lashes at him, as if that would seduce him. "Ah yes," he said with a roll of his eyes. "Could you please bring me and my lady," he spoke the words extra clearly, so she knew he was on a date, or whatever this was that they were on, "some of your finest wine and whatever the kitchen has to offer." The woman bit her lip and turned around with a red flush on her cheecks. Cassian knew Eris wasn't his lady, nor that they were on a date, but he just didn't feel like flirting or talking to other women when he was having dinner with her. "Anyway," he continued, "I missed hanging out with you while I was away." He smiled a genuine smile at her.
Re: Just Friends, Right?...
from Cassian_Vanserra on 06/01/2020 05:25 PM"What if i never really liked wearing them," Eris reacted when he asked her about her dresses. "Well," Cassian answered in his turn. "In that case it's a good thing I never let you keep them on for too long, isn't it?" He grinned a sneaky grin and continued to walk along with her. It felt good to walk here with her again. The atmosphere between them just felt... right. It never felt like they were forcing something. He thought about tonight and how it would feel like to be with her again, and felt his cheecks heat up in response. That dinner probably would not go on for too long, if he already felt his blood heat up over such a thought. "So tell me Cass what have you been up to lately?," her voice sounded. He got snapped out of his little day-dream by that question. It has been a while since the two have seen each other. Cassian had to go back to Spain for some.. 'family' issue, if that's what he could call it. He didn't really think of his blood family, as his actual family. Either way, he had to help them back home, which meant he had to sail all the way from England to Spain, and all the way back. This took him about four months. "Hmm, nothing interesting," he murmured, not wanting to talk about his rotten family. "A long time at sea, nothing really happened. We had a bit of a quarrel with two ships on the way back, but we resolved that quite easily." He shrugged and steered them into a little street on their right side. The place they were heading towards was just at the end of this street. "What about you? Were there any men that kept my place in your bed warm while I was away?" He winked at her. He din't really know why the question felt so... weird? He almost thought that the feeling in his stomach could be something like jealousy, but that was just impossible. Cassian never got jealous, let alone about a woman. He smiled at her, trying to hide the fact that this made him a little uncomfortable, and pushed open the door of the bar, for Eris to walk in first.
Re: Demolished Dates And Amorous Altercations
from Cassian_Vanserra on 06/01/2020 02:08 PMCassian gritted his teeth at Yrsa’s comment. Narrow-minded? Not exciting enough? He felt his blood sizzle on the inside. Who did this woman think she was, speaking to him like that? In such a tone? The feeling that he somehow liked the fact that she stood up to him, he pushed far away and tried to ignore it. He lifted his brows and leaned a little closer over the table. “Careful with your words, little dove,” he hissed. He thought she probably would not at all like to be called something like that, which was exactly why he said it. “You might be good with them, seeing as you’re working for a paper, but say the wrong words, to the wrong people, and you’ll get yourself in trouble.” He grinned a nasty grin at her before backing away again, slouching in the bench he was sitting on. “Did it ever occur to you, that gathering information for the good of all pirates worldwide, may be also with some great risk?" She asked. Cassian rolled his eyes. “Oh, I’m sure that’s the case, Yrsa-darling. But I was merely talking about the rogue life at sea. Don’t you miss the brutality? The fighting? Judging from the fact you’re so quick to pull out those axes of yours only shows me that writing might not be as... suited for you as being a regular pirate.” He sighed and flicked a non-existent piece of dust from his white shirt.

from Cassian_Vanserra on 06/01/2020 01:53 PMCassian slowly opened his eyes when he heard the familiar, sweet sounding voice of Eris. He sat up straight and looked around. She was standing before him in... Pants. She was wearing a full on pirate-outfit. With pants. Actual pants. She has never worn pants before when they met. He raised a brow and grinned. “Miss Blackwood,” Cassian started a little surprised as he got up to his feet. “You look... different.” He said as he got closer to her. “Splendidly gorgeous, of course, but different.” He slid his hands around her waist as he closed the distance between them. “Got tired of those difficult dresses now, did you?” He whispered softly. “I’m not complaining, by the way. This only makes it easier for me to remove your clothes tonight.” He smiled and let go of her waist. “So,” he started again, trying to get rid of the tension hanging in the air already. “I hope you’re hungry. Because I sure am.” He let one of is heavy ringed hands glide through his hair. “I’m taking you to this little place I found out about just last week. They serve the best ale in town. And, not completely unimportant, serve good food as well.” He took her hand and started walking off the dock, leaving his ship behind.

from Cassian_Vanserra on 06/01/2020 01:33 PMCassian smiled at her when she reminded him that she was automatically his enemy, since she has never been a part of his crew. “Hmm. In some ways, yes. It is just hard to imagine such a beautiful lady like yourself to be anything like an enemy.” He sighed dramatically and downed his beer, before pouring himself another one with the carafe that was left on the table by the barman. “I should tell you, Lady Yrsa, I would not at all mind sleeping with the enemy if they all look like you.” He smiled lazily and stared straight into her eyes. "After two years of hopping ships in every port I entered, the ship I was currently on sunk to the bottem of the sea. I survived, together with two others.” He winced at the thought of a ship sinking. It was never nice to hear as a ship-lover, even if it’s the ship of a so called ‘enemy’. “That is how I came aboard of The Flying Dutchman, where I happily served for six years.” The Flying Dutchman, he thought... Impressive. That was no ship for any ordinary pirate. Of course, he could have known she wasn’t any ordinary pirate, after just cooing away her own date with an axe. “Now, I am just travelling. Ever heard of The British Gazette, captain?" Cassian raised his brows. “The magazine? Of course I have. Why?” His vision focussed on her hand as she let her finger glide through the flame of a candle. “Don’t tell me,” he started while he looked back at her face again, “that a former pirate, is now writing for a magazine.” He grinned. “Isn’t that just too dull for you, now that you experienced the life at sea as a pirate?” He asked, actually interested. “If you ever need something... Or someone,” he smiled, “to bring you some more excitement, I would be more than willing to help.” He made a little curtsey for show and grinned.
Just Friends, Right?...
from Cassian_Vanserra on 06/01/2020 01:07 PMCassian was lying on his back on one of the docks. His feet were dangling over the edge, pants rolled up to his knees. He moved his feet around in the water as he looked up at the night sky, which was full of stars. His hands were folded up beneath his head, as a sort of cushion. Tonight he was supposed to meet up with Eris, one of his good... what would he call it? ‘Friends’. He and Eris met a couple of years ago, when we was 25 and she was only just 18. They met at the bar she worked at. He came by there one night, and saw her dancing atop of the bar. He grins at the memory of it. They had been flirting and dancing all night, and eventually went home, where they had spent the night together. From that moment on, they had met many times more, to either just hang out, but mostly for pleasurous purposes. It wasn’t like they were in a relationship: they weren’t exclusive. Not at all, actually. They were a kind of friends with benefits. He had come to really value his time with her, though. He liked her company. She didn’t expect too much of him, she knew he had a hard time committing to relationships, and she never pushed him about it. She was just someone he could be himself around, someone he could let go with. He closed his eyes and took in the smell of the salt water, of the fire that was lit not too far from him, the perfumes of the women going to bars and parties. The sound of laughter and music floated through the air, drowning out his thoughts of Eris. He was supposed to meet her here, after she got off work. He would take her out for a bite to eat, and after that they would go to his ship, where they would spend the night at his chambers. He hummed along to the music, waiting patiently for Eris to come and find him.
Re: Demolished Dates And Amorous Altercations
from Cassian_Vanserra on 06/01/2020 10:52 AMCassian let his eyes glide over the woman's body as she sweeped her hair back and adjusted her corset. Her skin was showing slitghly above the neckline of her shirt. He felt the corner of his mouth tug slightly to the side as he let his imagination go. When she started talking to him, however, he got pulled back to reality. "Oh, I am quite sure you will not like my other tricks so much, captain. Though, I do not intend to hurt you just yet," the woman said. Cassian raised his brow in surpise. "Oh," he cooed. "Threatning a captain already, are we now? What an interesting little gem you are." He sat up a little straighter and grinned. He liked the nerve on her. He had not expected the woman to be like this. Sure, she didn't look like a little doll, but he certainly didn't take her for someone to have the nerve to threaten him, as he seemed a lot bigger than she was and he just told her he was the captain of a ship.
"Well, Captain, my name is Yrsa Mareritt. I forgot to tell you, when we were interrupted by my horrible date," she continued. Yrsa. the name suited her. It sounded quite warrior-like. He chuckled when she referred to Bruce as a 'horrible date'. "I have been a pirate for the past eight years, but I have roamed the seven seas for far longer than that. And, as for my tricks, a woman or any man at sea needs to be able to defend him or herself, am I correct? So that is where I learned to handle my beloved axes so well." Cassian threw his head back and laughed in surpise. "A pirate? You?" He nodded in approval and clapped his hands a few times. "That explains the temperament," he added with a wink. "All right, Lady Yrsa. I must say, you have surprised me in more ways than one tonight." He sat up straight entirley now and leaned over the table a little. "And may I ask on what ships you were active as a pirate? After all, I would like to know if I am sleeping with the enemy." He folded his hands together, his many rings shining in the candle light.
Re: Demolished Dates And Amorous Altercations
from Cassian_Vanserra on 05/31/2020 11:41 PMCassian smirked when the woman asked for his name. This must mean that she has some interesnt in him as well, right? Of course she does, though, he thinks. He has never met a lady who wasn't interested in him.. So why would it be different this time? He grins at the thought. "I am captain Cassian Vanserra. It is a pleasure meeting you, lady...?" He says with a slight bow of his head, waiting for her to tell him her name too. However, instead of doing so, she stands up ans smashes her axe into the table. How very unexpactant that was. Cassian looks contently at the scene unfolding in front of him. How very easy it was to shoo this 'date' that she was supposed to be on was, baffles him. The fact that the woman stands up for herself really only makes her even more interesting. He likes the fact that she is not some pretty little wallflower, but she is an independant, supposedly strong, woman. It suits her well, this firceness. "Lesson well taken," he retorts with a grin as the woman sits back down. Cassian smiles nastily at the man, appartently named Bruce, being sent away by the woman. "Just as I though you could not be interesting, atop of being as beautiful as you are, you surprise me with this trick of yours." He leans back into the bench and stretches out his legs. "What other tricks do you have in store for me?" He takes another sip of his beer, and waves at the barman to refill his glass. "So tell me, where did you learn that-- thing you just did? You don't strike me as the typical housewive, walking around with axes like that." He raises his brows and waits for her answer while the barman approaches them with a big carafe of beer. "Fill the lady up too," he orders the barman, and looks back at the beautiful appearance in front of him.
Re: Demolished Dates And Amorous Altercations
from Cassian_Vanserra on 05/31/2020 10:17 PMCassian saw how the woman was looking at him from time to time and strolled through the bar towards her. While doing so, a drunken hooker, Cassian assumed, flung herself on him. "Hi handsome," she whispered in his ear, her breath smelling strongly of alcohol and tabacco. Cassian looked down at the women and raised his brows. "I am not interested," he said coldly. "Are you sure, darling boy? I can do things to you that you don't even dare dream of." Cass looked at her with disgust on his face as she smiled at him with brown, rotten teeth. "Get your filthy hands off me," Cassian hissed. "If you even think for one second that I can be persuaded with some cheap talk like that, you're very wrong." He plucked her hands off himself and moved along. He just hoped that the blonde he had now set his marks on, had not seen what happened.
"Well, well, well," Cassian purred when he came to a halt beside the table of the blonde woman and the man she was with. "What do we have here?" He smiled lazily at the woman and ignored the man, who was now looking at him with frowned eyebrows. "What is a beauty like yourself, doing at a bar like this?" He placed his elbow on the bench beside him. "With scum like that," he added, while gesturing to the man. The man looked at him angrily. "Who the hell do you think you are, calling me scum?," the man snarled. Cassian looked at him with a bored expression on his face, but did not acknowledge him any further than that. "Surely you don't mean to grace this man with more of your time than you have already done, now do you?" He grinned and took another sip of his beer. The woman looked nothing like all the dolled-up women at the bar he usually went for. Normally the women he approached were a lot less... rogue. However, that was exacty what attracted him to her. She looked different. A different, more genuine kind of beautiful. The man she was with stood up and walked over to him. "What do you think you're doing? Can't you see I'm on a date?" Cassian didn't move an inch. "Hmhmm.. And it is going incredibly well, judging by the fact that your 'date', as you call it, keeps galncing my way." Cassian gave him a sympathetic pat on the shoulder, winked at him and walked around the man, towards the other bench at the table, where he took a seat across from the woman.
Demolished Dates And Amorous Altercations
from Cassian_Vanserra on 05/31/2020 09:25 PMCassian walked away from his ship, swaying slightly from the booze already in his system. It was, finally, the end of a long period of sailing his ship, the Silent Mary, all the way from Spain, to the docks of a little town in the South of England. He and his crew had taken months to get here, and he thought that he more than deserved a nice cold drink and some female company after such a long trip. He strolled the docks, looking for the nearest bar. When he saw a man throwing up in the water, he assumed that the bar probably wasn't too far away anymore.
He was right. After a few more minutes walking, he saw three men standing outside of a little place, all with a big jug of beer in their hands. There was a big sign hanging right above the door of the bar, which read 'The Tipsy Sailor'. Cassian smirked and pushed the door open. The smell of alcohol and sweat hung thick in the air. He crinckled his nose. Even though it was a scent he knew only too well, he forgot how much bars smelled... He was so used of the smell of the fresh ocean breeze, that he had to get used to this smell all over again. He looked around and saw that the place was pretty packed. A lot of sailors were huddled around a piano, singing old sailor songs. There was a women lying on the piano, too, who seemed to really enjoy the attention she was getting. At the bar were a few people talking; a man was standing right next to a red haired women, whispering things in her ear, another man was lying face down on the bar, seeming to have passed out from the booze. Cassian grinned and walked over to the bar himself. He gave the drunken man a nudge in the ribs, which evoked a nasty cry from him. Cassian sniggered. How pathetic. While Cassian waited for his drink, he turned around and leaned against the bar to look around once more. He had not seen any female presence that had really caught his eye. Not that it mattered that much, though. He would settle for almost anything right now. Spending months on end with only men on a ship, wasn't particularly great for your "love"-life.
He grabbed his beer and took a big sip. A little, stout man moved away from in front of him, to join the singing at the piano. He had been standing on the table in front of him, directly blocking Cass' sight. Now that the man had moved, however, Cassian noticed a woman sitting at a little table in the far corner of the bar. It was a beautiful, young, blonde woman. She was talking to a male figure, and looked to be enjoying herself. Cassian raised an eyebrow. How was it that the only good-looking female in this bar seemed to be taken by such a good-for-nothing kind of guy? Cassian rolled his eyes and made his way over there.
